“That all may know the love of God in Jesus Christ”
60 YEARS AS FIRST LUTHERAN'S CHOIR DIRECTOR
The delightful story in the Mason City Globe Gazette of June 16 told of Lowell Gangstad's 1957 arrival in Northwood to teach choral music in the Northwood-Kensett schools. In the same year, "Mr. G." was hired to direct the choirs at First Lutheran.
Lowell has faithfully been in front of the Senior Choir for 60 years, with his wife Leila accompanying the group for the past 25 years. For this dedication in presenting God's word in song to the church and the community, a gift of a 2-week trip to Norway is planned for Lowell and Leila from August 25th-September 8th
Questions may be directed to Sharyl Nestor (324-1241 or email@example.com).
Donations are being accepted at the NSB Bank to fund this gift. The account is called “Gangstads to Norway”.
Bree Truaz will be installed on August 20th in Sterling, IL. Members of First Lutheran are invited to attend.
The green stole is a gift from First Lutheran, given to her at graduation.
